YDS Presentation at the 4th Hellenic Forum for Science, Technology & Innovation gets wide attention

What is it?

The Hellenic Forum aims to act as a meeting point for Science, Technology and Innovation building bridges with scientists abroad, in order to enhance scientific and technological transfer collaboration for innovation. The Forum is hosted by the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and covers a broad range of topics including Nanotechnology, Energy & Environment, Life Sciences, ICT and Accelerator Technologies for Society.


When & Where?

The Hellenic Forum is taking place from July 11-15, 2016 at the NCSR Demokritos Campus, in Athens, Greece


YDS Activities

As part of a larger session on open government data and applications, YourDataStories was presented at the Hellenic Forum to an attentive and interested crowd of around 90 people. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion about the current state of Open Data in Greece bringing together high-ranking representatives of different greek ministries as well as economic experts.

The presentation encompassed both a general introduction of YourDataStories, as well as an indepth view of the three pilot Use Cases and the current state of the demonstrators. YourDataStories was represented by our project partners ATC and NCSR-D. Anna Triantafillou (ATC) gave a general introduction to the project, Vangelis Karkaletsis (NCSR-D) introduced the pilot use cases and Michalis Vafopoulos (NCSR-D) presented the current state of the YDS demonstrators.
