When & Where?

The 5th YDS Plenary Meeting took place on November 17th and 18th, 2016 in Athens, Greece.

Topics discussed

The consortium used the 2-day meeting at NCSR-D’s premises to get a general overview on the status of all work packages, from management to dissemination. The main focus however was on presenting and discussing the new reworked and redesigned version of the the YDS-prototype for Pilot 2 – Tracking Dutch development aid. The partners evaluated the new design and talked about the results of the user evaluations. In order to get a complete picture, there was an additional session by the technical partners on the underlying data-model, explaining the current status and advantage of the linked data approach.

With the project half way through the second year, exploitation is becoming more and more important. In order to better form ideas and clearly define the USP of the project’s outcomes, all participants split up into three small groups to run through a brainstorming exercise, delivering a list of good ideas for each pilot. This exercise was based on the lean business model canvas, requiring each group to find a maximum of three questions of arguments for each category. After a 30 minute session results where presented to the consortium with the possibility to ask questions. The results will now be evaluated by ATC, the leading partner for exploitation, and will help to shape the future strategy.

Overall, the meeting was quite successful in bringing everyone up-to-speed in regards to the current status of the development as well as discussing open points and necessary next steps for the rest of the second year of the project..
